In partnership with Grateful Village, Chances for Children Carolinas is hosting a holiday fundraiser November 22-24 to raise funds for Hurricane Survivors. At this unique event, communities from across the country will be donating like new and new giftable items that our community has asked for.  A pop-up store will be set up at the Fairview Community Center where our community can shop for themselves and their loved ones this holiday season in a dignified way.  The items will be offered for AMAZING prices and 100% of the purchase price will go directly to local families here in WNC.  The event will feature local vendors and the perfect amount of holiday cheer that we all need after what we have endured.

🌍 Our Vision for Community Support

After Hurricane Helene, the needs of our community are ongoing, and this holiday fundraiser is part of our long-term commitment to support Western North Carolina. We hope to create a model that can be replicated in future disasters, bringing communities together to lift each other up.

Unsold items will stock our new Free Bee Mobile Trailer – a pop-up store that will visit the hardest-hit areas to provide free shopping. This initiative, generously supported by a consignment sale owner in Mooresville, NC, will ensure that families in need receive high-quality items with dignity as they rebuild their lives.

Support Hurricane Survivors in WNC.

🚚 Help Us Tow the Free Bee Trailer: Seeking a Dedicated Truck for the Free Bee Trailer

We’re looking for a generous partner to help us secure a 3/4-ton (or greater) truck to tow our Free Bee trailer. Currently, we have one truck available, but a dedicated nonprofit vehicle would allow us to bring the Free Bee trailer into the mountains as often as possible, where families need it most. This truck would also support our Prom Dress Exchange initiative, helping us transport formal wear to rural areas for free pop-up prom events.

Your Donation Would Make a Lasting Impact: Every dollar that comes into Chances for Children goes directly to local family support. Having a dedicated vehicle would allow us to operate with zero overhead and continue delivering essential resources.

Your Donation is Tax-Deductible: If you’re part of an organization that could help make this vision a reality, your donation of a truck would be fully tax-deductible. Additionally, if sponsored by a business, we would proudly display your logo on the truck and trailer, showcasing your commitment to our Western North Carolina community.

Interested in Supporting This Mission? Please reach out on our contact page. With your help, we can bring the Free Bee trailer and the resources it holds to more families across the mountains, spreading hope and support where it’s needed most. Or, if you just want your donations to go towards our Free Bee Trailer Fund you can donate using this link.

🌟 A Message of Gratitude

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible outpouring of love and support for our region. A special thanks to the consignment sale owners who have stepped up to help us plan and execute this event – your dedication means the world to us and to the families who will benefit.
